Tips on Home assembly work?

Q) I am trying to find a factory or some1 that is looking for home workers for assembling, like a electronics factory or soemthing around the milton keynes aea of uk, i am not having much luck just wonered if any1 does this work and has any tips on how to find it.

A) Don't know the answer but I do think you could be a target for scammers. Say no to anything where you have to put out cash or your own materials. If you have specific skills, such as in electronics, soldering etc, you could contact nearby universities. There are always researchers who are stuck for technicians to build stuff for them - most research institutions are understaffed in the support functions. But you'll need good equipment for that.

I need to work from home due to being disabled?

Q) I was in middle management in the printing industry I have average p.c. skills and can use most progs, any pointers would be useful I am teaching my self assembly as used in the electronics industry (maybe I could start an agency for people need to work from home)

A) I sell Pampered Chef. It is a great work from home business. You didn't specify what your disabilities are but The company is very flexible.Feel free to visit my website to find out more. www.pamperedchef.biz/nancypttrsn.

What would be a good small commercial product to select for a design for assembly project?

Q) the product doesn't have to be too complex but it is supposed to be a commercial product e.g something found in the home. Also can anyone recommend any websites which deal with worked examples of Design For Assembly

A) Small, simple electrical/electronic items are often a good place to start looking. For example: The Sony Walkman (I'm going back here a bit I know) was designed to be manufactured by robots using only vertical movements. A lot of personal electronics such as mobile phones are designed to have the absolute minimum amount of build time after the PCBs and stuff have been assembled. Most of them are essentially a PCB sandwiched between a few moulding. Even the keypads are generally single piece items. Hope this has been of some use. Sorry, can't help you with the website bit though.

looking for working from home, no outlay, ie: assembly, envelope stuffing etc..?

A) You have to be careful of companies who promise you can make a lot of money working from home. My cousin works at home transcribing notes from Dr's into the patient files.

Welsh Assembly - White Elephant?

Q) Either full Independence for Wales or nothing. The Assembly is just another tax-wasting excuse for politicians to run our lives and earn themselves big fat salaries at our expense. How much money could be saved and put into creating jobs and building homes if the overpaid Assembly members and staff were sent packing to the nearest jobcentre and the Assembly building was sold? We really don't need more and more layers of Government. The Welsh Assembly was just a vote winner for B-liar. Waste of time.

A) i couldnt agree more. iether complete independence or stop wasting the peoples money. i cant believe the money they wasted on that stupid bloody building. what is it with these little hitlers that they have to build themselves huge palaces to make themselves look impressive?? and why do the people keep allowing them to get away with it?

i was in a tv advert in the late 1970s does anyone know if i can get a copy?

Q) The advert was filmed at mclarens pushchair factory in long buckby uk. The assembly line i was working on was filmed and the advert went out on early evening tv my family saw it but ironically i was on way home from said factory and never got to see it. This was in the days before home video so i have no idea if the film is still in existence. Is there anyone else reading this who worked at mclarens at the time? do you remember the ad being made and were you in it ? have you ever seen it? if anyone out there has any information i would love to hear form you

A) Try You Tube, you'd be amazed at the videos they have. Also try to Google it and see if you can find it in some archive.

Re-training at age 36 with a degree?

Q) I have a degree in Ancient and Medieval History but to be honest its proved useless in finding a job. I have never used it. I'm currently at home with my baby son and thinking about going back to work. I can't really face going back to boring office work and would like to retrain but not sure. As we're on a low income I can get a £200 ILA voucher from the Welsh Assembly to put towards Course Fees (I have no other money to pay course fees so it will have to be a course costing £200!) I don't know what to do. I'm thinking about something like Beauty Therapy, Holistic Therapy or Hairdressing - a skill that might allow me to set up my own business and work for myself. Any ideas or advice?

A) Hi- Working from home seems to be the best way to get ahead without a lot of formal retraining. Their are many opportunities available online but ... There are also a lot of ways to get scammed looking for online businesses or jobs. I've been online for many years, even before the Web was around, doing emails and bulliten boards- and even THEN there were people trying to scam other people! Anyway, I'm most impressed with a number of businesses ... some need a small amount of investement of money ... ALL need an amount of time invested in doing the work or promoting. Most of the hype out there about 'type at home' jobs are 'bull....', the only type at home jobs are the ones that you create yourself! With your type of degree I would think that you would have to do a lot of critical thinking and writing. That could segway into a writing career! That is simply, offer your services as a typist, editor, article writer, etc. You can find these kinds of freelance postitions at www.elance.com or www.guru.com - there are many companies and individuals that need those services. The best thing to do is to go check out what's available and sign up as a provider of those services. The only other way to get that info out there is to post it on a site like www.craigslist.org. If you'd like to check out the opportunities that I have gotten involved in and recommend to others, then go to my blog and find all the entries where I talk about them. The one that you can sign up for FREE is already an international phenomenon! http://internet-security-software-review.com/ Hope this helps you and have a great day!

can i varnish my laminate flooring?

Q) i have wooden floor throughout my home but in my babys nursery i have put whitewashed wood(effect) laminate floor but i would like to have a polished look to it. (it looks lovely when the floor is wet) could i use 'yatch varnish' or maybe 'Klear' polish or the polish they use to do the school assembly halls

A) I personally wouldn't go near it with varnish. It may take and look amazing initially, but with wear I'm sure it will chip away. I'd be more inclined to use Klear or something similar as it can be vashed off and reapplied when necessary.

I am looking for a legit work at home assembly job!?

Q) I am looking for a legit work at home assembly job. I have heard of some that are out there where you can assemble things like earrings and such in your home for a profit and want to know if anyone knows of a legit website or company where I can start working from my home. Any help on this matter is greatly appriciated.

A) It depends on how handy you are, but most of the Assembly jobs out there are scams, they can pay you little or nothing so if you like putting things together make it your self and sell it on eBay or you can open an eBay store, but you have to have a product people will buy and you have to set you prices to cover hidden expense fees like pay pal and the product surcharge.

Is there any work-at-home assembly jobs that actually work?

Q) Is there anyone out there who is working one or are they all just a big scam? If there is such a thing as a good one, could you let me know? thanks!!!!

A) My sister in law did this years ago....No luck selling them after she put them together. If you are looking to work from home, there is a way. But, do not go after some get rich scam. If you don't work, you get nothing in return. If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is..... Here are some possibilities. Child care, Pampered chef, Partie lite, Stampin up, Sentsy or Passion Parties...I am sure there are more, but these are a few. I do Passion Parties. But I have to work. I do 4 parties a month sometimes more, just depends on how busy I am at home. I make 40% plus overrides and bonuses....Do some research.!! Good luck

are there any real work at home assembly jobs out their, with out paying someone for a list of them.?

Q) i am disabled i need something i can do at home.

A) To be honest, you are probably not going to find a job working from home. Any opportunities you find that requires a start up fee or money up front is a scam, don't get sucked in!! I encourage you to immediately put these jobs out of your mind. Here are some of my tips when looking for a job.... Networking - Register at your local Unemployment Office (you don't need to be on unemployment to register for their assistance). They often will have networking groups on a regular basis. They also are a good source for the jobs that never show up in the paper or online. Check your local paper -- In many cases the paper's classified are now online. Organization -- I use a free online application that allows you to track your ads, jobs you apply for, send or print mail merged correspondence, and track your job search history. This site is jobsearchlog.com I invite you to check it out and you'll be able to keep track of what you apply for. are there any legit work at home assembly available?work at home data entry, customer service, etc..?

A) Unfortunately the 'home assembly' and 'data entry' type work you see anymore are scams to get you to send in $X for 'information' or 'training material'. The only way to make your $x back is to scam someone else. However, I, personally have done virtual customer service work in the past. It won't make you rich. Most companies pay an hourly wage of around $7.00 during training and a bit more when you go live, but considering you have cut your commute down to a few steps, don't have to worry about a new wardrobe, etc.... in some cases it is worth it. Most of the companies expect you to have high speed DSL, a hard line phone, no wireless anything including laptops, digital phones, cell phones, etc... You need a good head set with mute and noise filtering, good computer and internet skills... those are just the basics. The only sources I know of offer positions in the US and a few in Canada. If you go to my profile and click on the link in the 2nd paragraph to my blog, scroll down through the comments at the bottom you will find two links. How do you tell if something along this line is legit or not? First sign is if there is an actual application process, just like you walked into a company and had to apply. Secondly, if they ask for a fee to complete the app (and I only know of one who does to cover the cost of a background check- but otherwise), move on. If I can help further, do not hesitate ton contact me. ~jennifer Helping others create additional income from home through education of the system.

Does anyone know of a TRUELY good work at home craft/assembly job?

Q) I am pregnant and have been searching everyday on the internet for a work at home assembly job to do part time. I already have a part time job but as food prep at a restaurant I get really tired and stressed so I limited my days from 5 per week to 3. I still need to make more money and I really want to work from home so when the baby is born I can still do that job and be there for my child all the time. I've found a multitude of sites that say "watch out for scams" and some that have lists of "legitimate" home assembly jobs but have not yeilded any good results. I'm tired of the wild goose chase. Does ANYBODY know of or work for an at-home craft/assembly job that is truely legitimate. And I mean not just scam-free, but one that is easy to do and as close to hassle-free as possible? Some of them have big starter fees and don't pay as much for the work to really make you a profit. I'm not trying to get rich, just to make enough money. Links to websites would be really great Please only home assembly/craft jobs. I appreciate the help, but no data entry or other types of work at home jobs. Assembly/crafts would be the best for me.

Work At Home Jobs. Home Assembly Crafts, etc. Are They All Scams? Any Body Have Legit Home Jobs?

Q) Work At Home Jobs. Crafts,Assemble Products,Etc. All Scams? Legit? Info?

A) To be honest, you are probably not going to find an honest job working from home. Most of what you are going to find are scams where you will be asked to pay money and receive a list of places you can contact to apply to work online. The most important thing to remember about job searches is that you should use a combination of methods regardless of your location. Networking - Register at your local Unemployment Office (you don't need to be on unemployment to register for their assistance). They often will have networking groups on a regular basis. They also are a good source for the jobs that never show up in the paper or online. Check your local paper -- In many cases the paper's classified are now online. Search Smart Online -- If you don't have a lot of time, spend most of your time at sites that aggregate the job feeds from several job search engines. Prominently these include indeed.com and thingamajob.com. Organization -- I use a free online application that allows you to track your ads, jobs you apply for, send or print mail merged correspondence, and track your job search history. It is a very useful tool that saves everything for you on one site... JobSearchLog.com. Good Luck, Karen Source(s): http://indeed.com http://job-hunt.org http://jobsearchlog.com
